| Coastal Montessori Charter School is pleased to announce that Ms. Haley Drecksage is joining the staff as our middle school science and social studies teacher. Many of our students and families already know Ms. Haley from her time at CMCS as a substitute teacher and teacher assistant. Ms. Haley brings a diverse and well-traveled background to CMCS, and her knowledge and expertise will bring significant value to the middle school. According to Dr. Nicastro, Director of CMCS, “Upon meeting Ms. Haley, I was instantly impressed with her passion and hands-on experience. She brings real-world and experiential education to CMCS. With her degree in Marine Science, she has taught and led students in the field in places such as Fiji Islands, New Orleans, and Catalina Island in California. Additionally, she spent time at Argostoli Harbor in Greece to focus on conservation efforts for loggerhead turtles. Those experiences correspond well with the Montessori philosophy.” According to Ms. Haley, “I am excited for the opportunity to work with our middle school students. I already know many of them, and I look forward to building positive relationships with everyone. I love CMCS, and I am eager to work with our team members to grow our program.” |
