Happy Mother’s Day!
I hope everyone’s enjoying a peaceful Mother’s Day with family and friends.
This past week we enjoyed wonderful presentations from two guests. Mr. Daniel was at CMCS Monday sharing music and instruments from around the world. He sang with the students, shared wonderful stories from his adventures in different continents, and showed us some amazing instruments.
On Tuesday, author, Ms, Ally Murphy, came in for a special visit. She read her story, The Manatee Who Finds Mindfulness, and shared her experiences about publishing books.
This week, we won’t be having visitors, but will be busy with testing. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday of this week, our 3rd year students will be participating in SCReady testing. The 1sts and 2nd year students will continue working in our room as usual. Please have your 3rd grader rested, fed and ready for the test!
This Thursday is Twins Day! Your child can dress up alike with a partner or a few children.
Spring conferences will be optional this year. I do not have a planning period, thus scheduling is a challenge and impacts instructional time. If I feel it necessary to meet with you, I will contact you directly. Otherwise, you may schedule a conference with the SignUpGenius link which will go out later this week. Report cards will go home on May 29th. Once MAP reports have been uploaded I will send all 2nd/3rd year parents the reports electronically. If you have any questions at all please let me know. Thank you!
