By now, many of you realize that our CMCS Middle School will be posting weekly electronic updates in lieu of emails this year to inform everyone about our current and future happenings. We also rely on your child to relay home important information; we will also continue to look for your signatures on the progress graphs each week. If your child is behind in his/her work goals, please make sure they spend some time this weekend getting caught up. We all do NOT want to have people stressing out or falling behind. If students spend effective time during their work times, they can achieve most of their weekly goals. 🙂
Thanks for your patience and trust while we implement our new researched-based Montessori middle school curriculum. We are all getting used to the process and are confident that once we learn the process behind the daily activities, every student will get into the groove of what is expected of him/her during group and independent work times. We also found an article in the September 2017 issue of Tomorrow’s Child–a Montessori periodical. I am sending home only the last portion of the article which summarizes the seven gateways which bridge the gap from Montessori elementary classrooms into higher level educational settings/life skills. The last paragraph is especially informative, as it describes many of the exciting activities we have planned for our 7th and 8th graders this year. As always, we appreciate you and your children.
