Weekly Update

Hello Families,

I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I am looking forward to next week! Last week we ended with a fantastic Halloween event put on by our own CMCS PTO. I will get those pictures posted soon!

This week the 5th years will be helping to put together our new hydroponic greenhouse that will be used to grow spartina grass for the Seeds to Shoreline program. This will be our first year growing spartina using hydroponics! It will be interesting to see if the results are as successful as they are growing them in soil.

We had a great visit from meteorologist Mr. Ed Piotrowski of WPDE 15. It was both educational and fun. This visit reinforced all that the students’ have been learning about severe weather in Science. Pictures from his visit are posted below.

We will be continuing our study of measurement on Monday with Pumpkin Math.Thank you for the donations!! We are all set on pumpkins.

The 6th year students that are going to NY need to have all of their MMUN country research completed by Monday morning. It was due last week, but there are several country groups that are still not finished. Ms. Sarah Wilson sent out a Remind App. message about this yesterday.

Thank you all!

Take care,

Sarah McNellie
