Wow! The month of October is filled with many field experience “treats” for our CMCS MS students.
First, our overnight camping experience takes place this Thurs/Fri at Huntington Beach State Park; this event has been planned by the students (and tweaked by teachers) and involves two park ranger events as well as academic lessons and service projects…it will be educational and fun!
Secondly, 25 students will be attending the North Charleston STEM Career Fair on OCT 12. These students will participate in interactive booths exploring the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics for career opportunities.
Third, Mr. Tom is planning a historical field experience to two sites in Georgetown, SC, where students will get a taste of our local history!
Next, Oct. 24 is when our entire middle school travels to Charleston’s Dock Street Theater for a live performance of To Kill A Mockingbird as well as enjoy a walking history tour of the city.
And, last but not least, the PTO Halloween Event is taking place on Fri. Oct 27 at CMCS–Middle Schoolers are in charge of creating a Spooky Room for the younger CMCS kiddos and assisting with the other events.
No wonder we are all exhausted! Thank you to all who have volunteered for or donated to all these exciting activities that make our CMCS Middle School a place of enjoyment and education!
