Week of March 13

Our new garden beds have been assembled! Thank you for those who came out to the Eat, Play, Love Gala last month which raised the money to install our beds. Once this crazy stretch of rain subsides and the temps climb a bit, we are ready to get dirty and start planting! We will also be diving into our botany studies as we plant.

In the meantime, we are busy this week creating concrete poetry. Concrete poems take the shape of the topic. Ask your scholar for a lesson!

Reminders for this week:
* Wednesday is $1 Dress Day
* No school for students on Friday (Staff Development for teachers)

First years continue to work with stamp game, dot game, verbs, and golden beads.

Second years began work with prefixes/suffixes, mass/weight, checkerboard and volume.

Third years are working with subject/predicate, fractions, text dependent analysis, and abstract math computations.

Remember that TUESDAYS are “home work” share days. Please have your scholar prepared to share about their learning experiences outside of school.
