Pi Day Fun

I want to start by thanking all of the families that donated pies to our Pi Day festivities! We had a great day. We learned about the magic of pi and circles. Many of the students were quite shocked at how “magical” it is. The students had some fun interactive lessons about the parts of a circle and how to measure them. Then they went on a Pi Day scavenger hunt, choosing items around the room and beyond to measure. The last item we all measured together was pie. Of course, we then had to eat the pie(s)! The day ended even better than it began, with students and teachers throwing pies in each others faces. Fun was definitely had by all!
