POLICIES AND PROCEDURES
Here’s everything you need to know about new policies and procedures in the new building including:
- New School Hours and Address
- Drop-Off and Pick-Up Procedures
- After School Enrichment and Programs
- Breakfast and Lunch
NEW SCHOOL HOURS AND ADDRESS
- START TIME: 8 a.m.
- END TIME: 3 p.m.
- New School Address: 111 Old Plantation Drive, Pawleys Island, SC 29585
Carpool begins at 3 p.m., lineup can begin no earlier than 2:45 p.m. There will be no parking and walk-ups; all must use the carpool line. All cars will enter through our entrance on Barony Place (the Allston Plantation entrance), south of the school; NOT Old Plantation Drive. Cars will exit the school on Old Plantation Drive. There will be plenty of staff on site to help direct traffic.
This process is designed to make afternoon carpool calm and safe by keeping students in the classroom until parents come through our entrance on Barony Place. At this time the student’s placard number will be communicated to the appropriate teacher and the student will be released to walk down the hallway to the front door of the school. Our goal is to pace this process so that as students come out of the building they are immediately loaded into vehicles, eliminating the need to wait outside.
The latest time a student may be picked up for medical appointments, after-school activities, etc. is 2:25 p.m.
The Parking Lot will be closed at 2:30 p.m.
AFTER SCHOOL ENRICHMENT PROGRAMS
After School Enrichment and other after-school programs will:
- Begin at 3:15 p.m.
- End at 4:30 p.m.
All pickup from after school activities such as After School Enrichment, Art Studio, Mad Science, Kicks Tae Kwon Do, etc. will take place in the bus loop on the side of the building next to the Grand Hall, by Old Plantation Drive. All students will be released from the Grand Hall.
We will be implementing a recycling program in our new home. The fabulous Mr. Chad Rentz, middle school teacher and environmentalist extraordinaire, will be spearheading this program. We encourage students to pack lunches with reusable containers. This will greatly reduce the amount of trash on our campus.
BREAKFAST AND LUNCH
Breakfast and lunch service will be a pre-order system with orders due the day before. The cost for breakfast and lunch will remain the same and families will be invoiced. Checks should be made payable to: Coastal Montessori Charter School.
Children who participate in school lunch will be provided with a bag lunch from the cafeteria service until December 5th, when the hot lunch program will resume. Thank you for your patience as we ease into our new facility.
