Many Hands Make Light Work

Last week, many hands helped to prepare the garden beds outside our classroom windows. Several students shoveled the soil and carried the loads to our two garden beds. Next, Essie and Salters planned where to plant the vegetables and placed the seedlings into the bed. On Thursday, another group of students planted the seeds for our flower garden. In addition to the outdoor garden beds, we will be growing plants and flowers inside the classroom and in containers on our patio. There is something so satisfying about gardening and growing plants and flowers from the seed. As we head into our botany study, students will learn about the plant kingdom and the vital functions of plants.
