Making Paper the Old Fashion Way!

This week at CMCS, our summer camp kids learned techniques for making block prints with our Art Teacher, Ms Kim.

During the afternoons, with Ms. Antoinette, the students began making paper by hand!  It’s a long process with many steps, and requires a lot of patience.  Once they understood how to handle the frames and slurry, they enjoyed their afternoons making recycled sheets of paper from newspaper and old poster paper slurry!

Step 1. Tear the paper into tiny pieces! What great exercise for young hands.
