Happy Labor Day Weekend!

Happy Labor Day Weekend!

Thanks so much for coming to see our First Great Lesson presentations. The students worked really well together and created projects without teacher direction. What an awesome way to build community and trust among our kiddos as well as learn something new as well!
Enjoy your time with your friends and families this weekend; please remember that next Tues. and Wed. our students will be engaging in MAP (Measures of Academic Progress) testing for reading and math. These assessments are simply a way to determine your child’s strengths and weaknesses in these content areas. Please make sure your child gets a good night’s sleep and packs a protein-packed lunch those days since our testing time is from 12-2:30 both afternoons.
Speaking of food, we are strongly encouraging students to consume only healthy snacks and drinks this year. Please refrain from having your child bring in sugary or caffeinated beverages to school as well; water is always the healthiest choice.
We are gearing up for our camping trip to take place Sept. 12 and 13, and students will be planning the details next week; be sure to talk about this exciting event with your child! Permission slips will be sent electronically to your emails.
Again, thanks for your support and open lines of communication this year!  Please email us any questions or concerns you may have in the future.
