Capital Campaign

Because charter schools do not receive state funding for facilities, a Capital Campaign is in progress to fund a new building for Coastal Montessori Charter School. A USDA loan for $6 million has been approved and a 6.95-acre tract of land near Allston Plantation in Pawleys Island has been purchased.  We will break ground on our future new home soon.  Donations in any amount are valued and greatly appreciated.  If you would like to contribute to our Capital Campaign, please contact Ms. Tia.

Many generous donations have come in from businesses and individuals alike in amounts from $100 to $50,000!  We celebrated many of those donors at our first annual Eat, Play Love gala back in February and even raised another $15,000 at the event to help build the playground at our new school. We also recently celebrated our largest donation to date, $50,000, from one of the country’s premier technology firms, Mercom Corporation, at a picnic held at their headquarters here in Pawleys Island (read the article).  The outpouring from not only the families and friends of CMCS, but the community as a whole, has been extremely heartwarming.  Some of our major contributors include:
