October 5-6: Rescheduled Huntington Beach overnight camping trip

October 12: Emails will be sent to 25 of our 7th/8th grade students about attending a North Charleston STEM career fair.  We are selecting students who indicated some interests exploring careers in the science, technology, engineering, and math fields. If you receive an email and your child does NOT wish to participate on this trip, PLEASE let Ms. Liz know ASAP so that another student can take his/her place. We are limited to 25 kids from each GCSD middle/high school, so we were unable to take all 46 students. Thanks for understanding.

October 24: Field experience for ELA and Social World:  Experience a live performance of To Kill A Mockingbird play at the Dock Street Theater in Charleston, SC, followed by lunch and a historical walking tour of Charleston’s downtown streets/attractions. We need about 5 parent drivers/chaperones to help with transportation that day; you will need a vehicle to transport 4-5 passengers.  Cost = $11/person. First come, first serve, but we appreciate any volunteers with our big group this year. More fun activities will be in store, for sure!
