Color Theory and Watercolors

Lower and Upper Elementary students are working on their watercolor skills while further developing their understanding of color this Fall.

Each student has created their own color wheel, with primary and secondary colors.  The UE students have been mixing tertiary colors to further develop their color wheels.  We have identified warm and cool colors as well as color pairs ,or complementary colors, to complete our color charts.

As they are finishing up their personal color wheels, students are now beginning to work on painting three-dimensional objects.   We even brought the geometric solids into the ARTStudio to model for us as we observed how light and shadow define these objects.
